Good Morning Moms

Ok so am I the only mom out here who sometimes just really needs a break or day to herself? I didn’t think so. Well momma it is ok to take time when you can just to unwind. Life is stressful and being a parent is by far the most challenging job I have ever been blessed to do.

BAM! Books-A-Million

The saying is so true that a mother’s work never ends. Even when we do take time to ourselves we still think about what everyone else needs, what chores we need to complete, when the next game will be etc. As a mom, I know that my children depend on me and I work daily to make sure that they are provided for to the best of my ability. I love every day and every moment I get to spend with my children and wouldn’t change anything about it. However, I have my days where I just want to take a nap, get my nails done, lay in bed all day, and binge on my favorite television shows.

I always joke with my friends that my children are well-oiled machines. They often work together, and the next thing you know it’s WWE SmackDown.

Mom Self Care

The older and more mature I get I understand how important it is to take care of myself mentally, physically, and spiritually. When I put my children to bed at night I use the quiet time to write, catch up on chores, or simply relax. I am so tired some days that I go to sleep right along with them.

One of my favorite self care things to do is get a massage after being adjusted. In the years after having my children, I have had pain in my lower back so my weekly chiro visits with Dr. Juan are absolutely awesome. If I am experiencing any type of pain a visit with Dr. Juan usually makes the majority if not all of the pain go away. I also love to visit my massage therapist Eileen. She is the best at deep tissue massages and really listens and cares about her client’s wellbeing.

Mom’s Little Things

As I have said in multiple posts and probably will repeat in many more, I love making my home cozy. Candles are my go to when I want to have a calming atmosphere. I burn candles in my home I would say 95% of the time. There is just something about the flickering light and calming smell that comes from a candle.

Another one of my favorite things to do is listen to Audible or music through my Amazon apps. I love Audible because I can listen to a novel while cleaning, writing, driving, cooking, showering, and whatever else you can think of. I have a free trial for my readers below just click the banner. You will definitely be glad you did.

Day Dreaming Out Loud

Ok so Day Dreaming OutLoud is when I sit and write a list of things I wish I had in my home. So hear me out! Really! I really want a walk in jacuzzi shower combo in my master bath.

For real though

Don’t Judge me and yes I did say I want a walk in Jacuzzi tub and shower combo in my master bath. They just look so comfortable and relaxing. I mean who doesn’t want to have the option of sitting in a massaging jacuzzi tub in their bathroom? Yes I have told my besties the same thing and so help me,

I will have one. Check out some of my favorite home improvement stores below.

Conclusion

For all the tired and overwhelmed mommas out there it is ok to take a rest or time to yourself. I know that we don’t always get free time to just relax, but any little bit helps. Take the hours after you put your children to bed to read or listen to a book on Audible. Take a warm shower bath by candle light. Remember tomorrow is not promised so live today to the fullest. Until Nextime!

Writing has always been a passion of mine. Since a young age writing was a very needed way of escaping to places unknown. I remember writing my first "book" in my bedroom as a youngling. The love of poetry and writing just continued to grow through my adolescent, teen, and adult years. I never really shared my stories or poetry with anyone until I was older and more comfortable with rejection. Expressing my feelings through words is something that no one can ever take from me. Today as a mother of two rambunctious children I find myself writing educational, poetry, and romance works of art. In my educational works you can always find a hidden message that hopefully will make you not only evaluate yourself but think about others. My romance novels and poems are super steamy and definitely for a mature audience. No matter the genre that I am writing for I just hope that the world enjoys every moment.
