When it comes to life stress for most is inevitable. Learning to take care of yourself both mentally, and physically is a must. First things first, give yourself the ok to let go of negative situations and people.
Letting go of relationships that no longer make you happy
Self-care is an important aspect of living a healthy life. Self care tactics can range from taking letting go of negative relationships, a solo vacation or getting a pedicure. The beautiful thing about self care is that it is all about you, no one else. Below we will go through some of my top self care options.
My Favorite Self Care
- Taking a drive. Sometimes when there is a lot on my mind I simply like to take a drive. There is nothing better than listening to music with my windows down to help relieve some stress.
The Best Day Trips For South Carolina
- Swimming. Water is by far my favorite earth element. Water is calming, and just magical. When swimming the weight of your body is cut in half and you are just able to become one with nature. Besides that swimming is great exercise.
- Friends, Friends, Friends. Plan a girl’s or guys day with your closest friends. Laughter is the best medicine. Plan a picnic or lunch that you and your friends can all go to and just laugh and chill.
- Spa Day. Whether it’s a simple pedicure, massage, haircut, or all of the above. A day full of pampering is always a girl or guy’s best friend.
10 Easy Destressors When The Stress Is Overwhelming
- Start a new book. Ok so I may be a little biased, but who doesn’t like a good story? You can read yourself or do what I love to do and listen to Audible.
- Take a Bubble bath. Fill your bathtub with warm water and your favorite scented or unscented bubble bath, light a candle or two, and relax.
- Journal. Journaling can be a great way to release your thoughts and troubles creatively. Who knows, your thought may turn into a best seller.
- Use Essential Oils. Difuse or use beauty items with essential oils to help with stress, body aches, or sleep. You can shop for essential oils on Amazon, and buy personal hygiene items like lotions, soaps, candles, shampoos etc through Bath and Body Works.
Conclusion
To conclude, taking care of yourself physically, mentally, and spiritually an integral part of our survival. Take the time you deserve and need to make sure you stay healthy. I hope you all follow some of the recommendations above because they are truly my favorite ways to relax and just have time for myself.
