As a mother of two elementary-aged children, and a college graduate myself education is a vital part of my life. I am always the parent who wants to stay involved with my children regarding what’s happening in class and what applications and tactics their teachers are using.

I can honestly say this year has been a struggle for my rambunctious, talkative nine year old. He has had major struggles in math this year which is not typical in comparison to his previous school years. I find myself not only talking and staying in contact with his teacher but also trying to find ways to help him understand and grasp the different subjects he is learning this year.

Don’t get me wrong his teacher is awesome and is very helpful when we speak but sometimes I think some kids may just need a different type of attention grabber when it comes to learning. As I said my son is high octane from the time he wakes up til the time he goes to bed. Oddly enough this is how I can tell if he is not feeling well because he actually sleeps in and doesn’t want to be bothered.

As many of you have probably seen in various commercials and advertisements the applications that my children like the most are ABC Mouse, Adventure Academy, and last but not least Hooked on Phonics. My children have used each of these apps and videos. They Love them all. This is why I am so proud to be an affiliate for each of these applications because I know they work, and I actually used them way before I even started to blog.

ABC Mouse is a very interactive application and website that kept the attention of my children. Not only did they learn a lot, they actually asked to log in every day. The older My children get the more they are into gaming and what I call attention grabbers. Adventure Academy to me is like the next level to ABC Mouse. Yes, they are different applications but Adventure Academy is a little bit more their speed now. The learning games really keep their attention and make them want to learn more to achieve more levels.

Hooked On Phonics

Where do I start with Hooked On Phonics? Do I ever remember the days when my kids asked me every day to play the alphabet videos from Hooked On Phonics. Even though singing A, B, C, D nearly made me pull my hair out almost last much as knowing the theme song to every Disney Channel Cartoon when my children were younger my children learned a lot.
