Holiday decor on a budget

So if you have found yourself on this post you are obviously looking for ideas on decor, or love daydreaming about all of the design ideas you would love to try in your home. Let’s take a look at some decor stores for the upcoming Fall and Winter seasons that will be a perfect addition to your current home decor and not break the bank.

My favorite stores for seasonal decor

How I love to decorate for fall and winter. Fall and anything to do with Christmas makes me feel all warm and cozy inside. I absolutely love decorating my home and putting out warm blankets, candles, and trinkets to celebrate the seasons. On top of Hallmark Christmas movies playing on my televisions from September until the end of the year, making my home warm and inviting when it is cold outside makes my heart smile with wistful joy!

I truly believe that decorating does not have to break the bank. You can find all sorts of beautiful decor pieces for amazing prices right in your own neighborhood, or online. Let’s take a look at some of my favorite home decor stores below.

Hobby Lobby

Do I really need to say anything about Hobby Lobby? The store is filled with decor for any occasion and I absolutely love it. Now you can always find sales in this store so definitely keep your eyes open for living room decor. Hobby Lobby usually has its florals on sale for 50% off so I would definitely not recommend paying full price for any stems when going to the store. Just simply ask an associate when their next sale will be. You are able to shop online at hobbylobby.com or in store.

Target

Alright who doesn’t love to scan the shelves of Target? I’m sorry but I cant raise my hand to this question. Target always has the cutest home decor items. However, I can say that some things can at times be a little pricey but hey its target and you can definitely choose one of the other stores listed below to price compare.

Say it with flowers

At Home

Ok so next to Hobby Lobby this is probably my second favorite home decor store. Especially for Living room decor. You can find just about anything for your home in this store. Its like a huge playground for interior decorations. The prices vary for items, but over all you can get some pretty neat items here that can be used to set off your home’s decor.

Dollar Tree

Well If you thought for one second I would leave out The Dollar Tree you are absolutely wrong. Don’t sleep on the Dollar Tree people. You can get a lot of very useful and cute items during the upcoming seasons and to be honest throughout the entire year.

For instance last year while the bestie and I were out shopping during the Christmas season I expressed that I wanted a large Christmas portrait to go in a frame that I would use in my living room. So we looked in various stores and the christmas portrait prices were just outrageous.

Bluehost.com Web Hosting $3.95

So, she told me lets go to the Dollar Store. So of course I followed her lead and we went directly to the gift bag section. If you know me of course I gravitated to my favorite Christmas character snow men. There are really cute and sturdy Large gift bags with gorgeous designs. I picked a couple and then I went to the greeting card section and picked some seasonal cards.

Wala! I now had the large prints needed for the large frames I wanted to decorate with and small prints for some 5 x 9 frames I wanted to use throughout my home. Guess what? I received so many compliments on the holiday pictures. So I will definitely continue to use this hack from now on.

Conclusion

In conclusion as I always say it does not take a lot of cash to make your holiday decorations pop. Shop around and think outside of the box. You could come up with some really beautiful and creative decorations for the holiday season. As always tomorrow is not promised so live life to the fullest.

Writing has always been a passion of mine. Since a young age writing was a very needed way of escaping to places unknown. I remember writing my first "book" in my bedroom as a youngling. The love of poetry and writing just continued to grow through my adolescent, teen, and adult years. I never really shared my stories or poetry with anyone until I was older and more comfortable with rejection. Expressing my feelings through words is something that no one can ever take from me. Today as a mother of two rambunctious children I find myself writing educational, poetry, and romance works of art. In my educational works you can always find a hidden message that hopefully will make you not only evaluate yourself but think about others. My romance novels and poems are super steamy and definitely for a mature audience. No matter the genre that I am writing for I just hope that the world enjoys every moment.
